Francesca Mattioli Completes the World’s Hardest Ironman Triathlon A HUGE well done to Francesca for completing the worlds hardest and most gruelling Ironman competitions, the famous X triathlon. A 2.5 mile swim in the Wasdale lake, a 118 mile Fred Whitton bike ride followed by a marathon up Scafell Pike. It is truly an unbelievable achievement to complete such a momentous competition and all in the name of Robbie. Please take your time to look at her JustGiving page here.

Life long friend of Robbie’s, Bryony Haggart, is celebrating her 21st birthday by a chairty run for The Robbie Anderson Cancer Trust and for The Lucy Bluebird Cancer Trust. The new Teenage Cancer Unit will be officially opened on February 25th 2013. The new unit includes a dedicated upgraded space for children with cancer, from birth to eighteen years. The space provides a four bed bay, three en-suite rooms and a large playroom and televisions. Adjoining is the brand new Teenage Cancer Trust unit, providing separate medical and recreational facilities for 13-24’s, with a two bed bay and three single en-suite rooms, including internet access, a chill out room and an area to make snacks. We’re off again! The third Big Drive to Monte Carlo, in the memory of & inspired by Robbie Anderson starts this week! Our continued aim is to help fund a £1.4 million, age appropriate cancer facility, at Leicester Royal Infirmary. Donations and Sponsorship are still desperately needed to ensure this project is realised this year after many years of campaigning. All the participants are self-funding the drive and all money raised will go towards the fund.
